COATING DIVISION

The area designated for the anodizing and powder coating is approximately 8.900 sqm. He anodizing and coating plant is equipped with high quality machinery from Europe.
The processes are designed in a way to have a continuos flow of materials from the  anodizing (used also as a pre-treatment) to the powder coating line and guaranteeing the maximum efficiency. The oven can also offer a possible future development in PVDF coatings.

The equipment available in the plant are:

  • 20 baths (for anodizing process)
  • Power and free conveyor system for extrusions more than 7mt in length
  • Automatic and manual powder coating electrostatic equipment
  • Oven up to 250 degrees

All processes are designed so that the finished products are located automatically either in the area for shipment outside the plant for sale to third parties or in the area adjacent to the aluminium production facility to be machined in the CNC centers or directly located into the assembly lines.

ANODIZING
Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. Anodizing increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metalce.

POWDER COATING
Powder coating is the technique of applying dry paint to a part. The final cured coating is the same as a 2-pack wet paint.
The powdered paint is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the part. The part is then placed in an oven and the powder particles melt and coalesce to form a continuous film.

THE GREEN IDEA
This system has been studied in order to:
  1. Recycle instead of disposal
  2. Avoid waste of water
  3. Reduce costs

THE GREEN IDEA
The water evaporates under vacuum and feeds all energy back into the system during condensation of the steam. The vacuum pump is the only energy consumer.
The system operates at minimum cost and the treated distillate can be reused. The contaminants in the process and waste water are concentrated to a minimun level and can be reused or disposed of.
